Privacy Policy — TabReloader - Auto & Bulk Tab Refresh

Summary

TabReloader does not collect, transmit, sell or share any user data. It makes no network requests of its own and contains no analytics or tracking. Everything it saves stays in your browser on your own device.

What the extension stores

TabReloader uses the browser’s local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) to save:

• Your preferences: hard-reload default, whether to skip pinned tabs and tabs playing audio, whether to remember URL schedules, and your list of excluded URL patterns.
• Active reload schedules: the internal tab or window ID, the interval, and when the schedule was created.
• Remembered URL rules (only if “Remember URL Schedules” is turned on, which it is by default): the address and title of each page you set a timer on, plus its interval. This lets the timer reattach when you open that page again.

This data never leaves your device. It is not synced to your Google account. You can view and delete remembered URL rules at any time on the extension’s Preferences page, and uninstalling the extension deletes all of it.

How page information is used

The tabs permission lets TabReloader read the address, title, pinned status and audio status of your open tabs. It uses this only on your device to:

• decide which tabs to reload and which to skip (pinned, playing audio, or matching your excluded patterns);
• show the current tab’s title in the popup and the Preferences page;
• match pages against your remembered URL rules.

TabReloader does not read page contents, form data, cookies, passwords or browsing history.

Network requests

None. TabReloader does not contact any server. Reloading a tab only asks the browser to reload that page, just as if you pressed the reload button yourself.

Permissions

• tabs: read tab addresses and status, and reload tabs.
• alarms: run scheduled reloads.
• storage: save your settings and schedules locally.
• contextMenus: add the right-click TabReloader menu.

What we do NOT do

• We do not collect personal information.
• We do not track your browsing or send it anywhere.
• We do not use analytics, advertising or third-party SDKs.
• We do not sell or share data with anyone.
• We do not use data for anything unrelated to reloading your tabs.

Changes to this policy

If the extension’s behavior changes in a way that affects privacy, this policy will be updated and the “Last updated” date changed.
